Abstrakt: The article presents a discussion on the cognitive and affective aspects of black instructors teaching in a speech communication classroom of whites. It has been discovered by some researchers that when blacks supervised whites, their performance ratings were poorer than that of white supervisors. A study was conducted to determine whether instructor's race was responsible for change in the attitudes of white students towards the speech communication course.
