Abstrakt: The author comments on sound engineering and other aspects of motion picture production. He claims that the sound department has the chance to adjust sounds if necessary through post-synchronization while the camera crew does not have the same opportunity. He hopes for the development of an electrical device that will address the problem of manual manipulation of microphone booms. He argues that producers, directors and members of the sound department should have patience with young artists.
