Abstrakt: The article discusses the results of a study investigating the functions and subcellular localization of the γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT) enzyme in radish plants. GGT was revealed to be a vacuolar enzyme. A possibility exists that GGT is involved in the catabolism of glutathione S-conjugates. Treatment of radish cells with GGT inhibitor acivicin, inhibited the catabolism of the glutathione S-conjugate.
