Abstrakt: The article discusses the process of premarital counseling for the developmentally disabled couples in preparation for their marriage. The counseling aims to provide services to potentially high-risk people by offering information and assistance on young couples before problems arose. The initial session deals with the couple's responsibility to each other and to social, economic, and personal factors, followed by two sessions which focus on the reasons for their decision to be married. The fourth session focuses on communication patterns, followed by the fifth until eight sessions which deal on solving the couple's problem. After the sessions, evaluation and conclusion follow which are essential in determining the success of counseling.
