Abstrakt: |
The article profiles several notable people in the field of mathematics. They include Susan S. Wood, Sadie C. Bragg, and Philip Mahler. Wood is the assistant vice chancellor for Educational Programs and Instructional Technology at the Virginia Community College System. Bragg, on the other hand, is a senior vice president of Academic Affairs and mathematics professor. Mahler is the past president of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) and a participant in the activities on quantitative literacy and college algebra reforms. The three persons met at Washington, D.C. to discuss success through the learning environment and promote the standards of AMATYC. |
