| Abstrakt: | The article examines the ragas and talas found in the traditional Indian musical composition Krishnagiti. It suggests that the old ragas should be maintained in Krishnanattam performed as a ritual in Guruvayur Temple. It explains that the sloka preceding the padam is sung in similar raga, in which the padam is also sung. It recommends that the suitability of the ragas replacing the songs found in the palm leaf manuscript should be examined. |
