Abstrakt: The article offers a historical background on printmaking in Dublin, Ireland. Printing flourishes in Dublin with two cooperative studios, the Graphic Studio and the Black Church Print Studio, providing for the requirements of approximately two hundred artists. The Scrapers, a celebrated group of mezzotinters who, first in Dublin and then in London, England, dominated the field of reproductive printmaking during the late eighteenth century.
