The article focuses on the impact of cold shock on the early development of cotton plants in Australia. Cold shock can be defined as a situation where minimum daily temperatures are less than 11°Celsius and each event extends the duration to flowering by 5.2 degrees. It is said that the lack of knowledge on the impact of low temperatures on crop growth and development have prevented cotton growers from exploring different management opportunities to improve crop yield. |
