The article focuses on the reproductive health perceptions in educated urban women. It focuses on two primarily issues, the thing that educated urban women, unmarried girl and housewives, should know about human reproduction and biological causes of fertility, and the method that the two groups of women perceive the various biological and socio-cultural factors influencing their reproductive life in a modern society. The author believes that an understanding on the basic facts of reproductive biology and reproductive health is essential in dispelling old taboos which hinder the Reproductive and Child Health program. |
