Abstrakt: In this chapter, the author suggests a curriculum in social group work with persons with severe mental illnesses. The author cites a report on a growing trend toward curriculum-driven groups that is cause for concern. He observes that mainstream model mutual aid principles, skills, anti processes can be utilized to minimize pressures that lead to curriculum-driven practice in these agencies. In addition, the author explores some psychosocial rehabilitation programs emerged in 2002. These programs occur in a variety of community-based settings. Psychosocial rehabilitation services are also offered as rehabilitation components of some state hospitals.
