Abstrakt: This article examines perceptions of participants of an online group particularly for fathers of children with spina bifida. One expert asserted the significance of father-oriented programs and he commented on the emphasis in parent and family education. Several factors that may affect the potential accessibility and utility of face-to-face groups include the extended geographic distances, transportation challenges, stigma and limits on available time for scheduled groups. Some of the perceived benefits of the online group are information, support, sense of anonymity/privacy and convenience.
