Abstrakt: This chapter examines the significance of social group work in addressing social inequities among older women. The different levels of fragility include physical fragility, emotional fragility, and imposed fragility. Several barriers to older women's participation in education include ageism, sexism, stereotypes, and practical barriers like physical and mental frailty, social isolation, family and community attitudes, financial circumstances, societal stereotyping of older women and negative beliefs and attitudes.
