Abstrakt:	Chapter 5 of the book "Social Work in Health Settings: Practice in Context" is presented. It focuses on school-based health centers (SBHC) in the U.S. It enumerates the services provided in SBHC. The goals of the centers are cited. It describes the SBHC in Stamford, Connecticut. The centers provide a holistic approach to wellness and treat both medical and mental health problems of adolescents and youth through a team approach. The state statutes that define treatment of minors with and without parental consent are discussed.
