The article reports on the good news experienced in July 2006 by the Nassau University of Medical Center (NUMC) in New York. State legislators Tom DiNapoli, Kemp Hannon, and Dean Skelos have given $35 million to NUMC to help offset a financial shortage caused by changes in state Medicaid reimbursement. NUMC president Art Gianelli has introduced his plan for the university including the establishment of assisted living and senior housing facilities. |
