The chapter discusses a study on the attitudes of nurses in Ohio towards euthanasia. A survey of nurses's attitudes towards euthanasia indicates that they distinguish clearly between passive and active euthanasia. Generally, they favor passive euthanasia but strongly oppose active euthanasia. Nurses also appear to anticipate specific incongruencies between their roles and physician's roles on matters related to euthanasia and the treatment of terminally ill patients. |
