Abstrakt:	The article describes the fictitious character, Mycroft Holmes, the brother of Sherlock Holmes in the Holmes fiction created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The author points out that the motion picture "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes," come nearer the truth by casting Mycroft in the role of the chief of Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service. The author points out that Sherlock and Mycroft were half-brothers and there is nothing in the Canon to disprove this statement.
