The article describes the case of a patient with AIDS and B-cell lymphoma who had massive fatal hemoptysis caused by pseudomonal pneumonia in the community setting. The authors' findings reveal that the patient experienced fever and cough and his chest radiograph depicted alveolar opacities in the left mid-lung zone. They trace how the underlying cause was recognized. |
