Abstrakt: |
This article focuses on the Veterans Health Study, which was conducted in Boston, Massachusetts area to characterize the association between health outcomes and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in a sample of male U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ambulatory care patients. Generally, it has been estimated that the prevalence of PTSD among adults in the general population is 1% to 5%. However, among military veterans the rates is quite high. In the study, information regarding the demographics, trauma exposure, and military history was obtained from self-report questionnaires. |
