| Abstrakt: |
The article examines the responses of attending adults to the behavior of ambulatory institutionalized young retarded children. The study shows that the attending adults usually failed to respond to either appropriate or inappropriate child behaviors. The responses to appropriate behaviors were likely encouraging. Adult behavior appeared to offer children infrequent, variable ratio reinforcement schedules. |
