Abstrakt: The article presents a study regarding the effects of repetition on recall of sequential material in normal and mentally retarded individuals as a function of type and amount of retroactive interference in the U.S. The findings of the study indicate that normal individuals benefited from repetition more than the mentally retarded ones and the type and amount of retroactive interference affected recall in both groups. It was also found that nonspecific practice effects were greater among the normal individuals.
