Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the cognitive development of children recognized as learning disabled, with emphasis on information processing. It is suggested that children's observed behaviors are constrained by the following: structural capabilities, acquired strategies and knowledge, and environmental features. One important finding is that children of various ages and from different backgrounds matched on some performance criteria respond differently to the same instructional procedures. |
