Abstrakt: The article presents a study in the U.S. which examines the impact of environmental influences on self-stimulatory behavior. The researchers evaluated the effects of passive environmental conditions and manipulable objects on stereotypic behavior. The results of the study showed statistically lower levels of stereotypic behavior under the quiet and music conditions as compared to the television condition.
