| Abstrakt: |
The article examines the social quotients of children with phenylketonuria (PKU) before and after discontinuation of dietary therapy. Discontinuation of dietary therapy among some children with PKU showed intellectual deterioration. Those who are treated at the early stage with dietary control show a higher social maturity score than the late treated children. The social quotients of children with PKU significantly decreases and correlates with serum phenylalanine levels. |
