| Abstrakt: |
The article assesses the present knowledge and its applications to prevention and amelioration of mental retardation. A study shows that the incidence of below intelligence quotient 50 conditions has decreased by about a third. The social and health advances aims to reduce mental retardation by the widespread use of immunization techniques against common childhood illness and better antenatal and natal care. It shows that man is becoming increasingly aware of mental retardation. |
