Abstrakt: As part of financial management, human service agency professionals, including rehabilitation facility, community rehabilitation and independent living program administrators and managers, rely on financial and funding reports to assess and monitor financial health. This article addresses three important areas, focusing on the business of rehabilitation administration. First, forecasting as a function of the budget planning process is reviewed. Second, financial statements customarily used by human service agency administrators are reviewed and explained. Finally, the utilization of finance and audit committees, as supports for human service administrators in ensuring fiscal fitness, is addressed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
