The article discusses the comparison of techniques for coupling multiphase porous flow and geomechanics. The techniques include the use of an explicit algorithm to couple porous flow and displacements in which flow calculations are performed. The second technique uses an iteratively coupled algorithm in which flow and displacement calculations are performed. Lastly, the approach that the linear solver solves simultaneously is used. |
