Abstrakt: The article presents a comparison between science and mathematics among educators' perception. Comparison on values is based on rationalism, empiricism, control, progress, openness and mystery. Mathematics educators are more on the side of rationalism while science educators favored empiricism. The comparison has revealed the challenges in teaching the two related bodies of knowledge and has suggested ways to develop the conceptual values of the teachers.
