The article focuses on the development of an ergonomics program for arborists and landscaper workers. Ergonomics can prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Causes of MSD include working in cold temperatures, excessive repetition of movements using hand pruning tools, heavy lifting of limbs and branches, vibration from tools and working in awkward positions. Ergonomics seek to prevent the following conditions. |
