Abstrakt: The article studies the relationship between age of mother at the birth of the child and the incidence of behavior problems, retardation or mental deficiency in the children. Incidence rates of children with mental deficiency were determined in the mental status groups of normal, dull normal, borderline, people with mental disabilities and imbecile in the three age-of-mother groups, 15-24, 25-34 and 35-49 years. The high rates of children for the incidence of the condition are observed in mother aged 35-49 years at childbirth. There is a greater significance etiologically of the older age of the mother at the birth of the child in the case of children of normal parents than in the children of mentally defective parents.
