Abstrakt:	Chapter 23 of the book "Research Symposia Proceedings: International Society for Augmentative & Alternative Communication" is presented. The chapter presents a review of quantitative studies on facilitated communication. It was stated that there is a difficulty in validating facilitated communication, using appropriate controls.
