Abstrakt: The article investigates the differences in the social status of educable and trainable children in diagnostic centers, at the University of Iowa. The study used the Modified Index of Status Characteristics (MISC) to verify the matter. It was revealed that MISC scores provide a substantial inverse frequency distribution between the subjects. The occupational status of the father offers the most substantial distinction.
