The article presents a report which states that a national hospice multi-employer collective agreement in New Zealand is within sight, following positive negotiations late last month. A national hospice professional development recognition programme is also being developed, following broad agreement. Salary rates comparable with that paid by the national district health boards (DHBs) have been agreed, with the exception of community nurse positions, which are still under negotiation. Employers will be approaching DHBs for additional funding, once they have signed off on the core document. |
