The article explains how to implement an XML/RSS northbound interface for the OpenNMS network management system. It first explains the levels of network management. It then discusses the concept of northbound interfaces and OpenNMS. According to the article, northbound interfaces link an application from any specific layer with the upper ones. OpenNMS on the other hand, is an open source which runs in Unix-like operating system using i686 architecture with 512 MB. |
