Abstrakt: The article considers Pawhuska, Oklahoma as the origin of the first boy scout troop in the U.S. Anglican priest John Forbes Mitchell was responsible for the formation of the first scout troop. He assisted scouting founder Sir Robert Baden-Powell in forming a scounting organization. Details concerning the first scout troop in the U.S. are presented.
