Abstrakt: This article focuses on the Dianthus plant genus. The majority of its species from the Alps are collectors' items that grow with difficulty even under favorable conditions. The easiest to cultivate is the maiden pink, or Dianthus deltoides. It produces flowers that can be rhodamine purple, carmine, cerise or burgundy. Dianthus peristeri features rosy purple flowers that stand two inches above the fine needles its foliage. Dianthus knappii features cool, greenish yellow flowers, and it blooms at the end of May.
