This chapter describes the architectural design of several buildings located in Boyle Heights in Los Angeles, California. The William Mead Homes is composed of 449 housing units with corner windows and horizontal balconies. The Grace Methodist Episcopal Church is a shingled Gothic church building with leaded-glass windows. The Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church is a mixture of Art Deco Moderne and the Spanish Revival of the 1920s. |
