Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the Society of Junior Doctors compared the outcomes of mechanical versus bioprosthetic valves in aortic valve replacement surgery for dialysis patients. The research found that patients who received mechanical valves had significantly improved overall survival rates compared to those who received bioprosthetic valves. However, there was no significant difference in freedom from reintervention rates or perioperative outcomes between the two types of valves. This study provides valuable insights for healthcare professionals and patients considering aortic valve replacement surgery. [Extracted from the article]
