Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are increasingly used in critical applications, including agriculture, despite facing constraints such as limited energy and security vulnerabilities. In agriculture, where WSNs monitor crop aspects like irrigation and plant health, so, ensuring security and energy efficiency is vital. This paper targets the energy consumption problem of recent secure variants of LEACH protocols based on watermarking techniques in WSNs. Our proposed protocol called 3E-Watermark-LEACH, an Enhanced Energy Efficient Clustering and Scheduling Scheme Into Secure Watermarking LEACH in WSN aims to overcome these problems by introducing an energy efficient cluster head selection process in addition to an energy efficient scheduling process into a secure watermarking-LEACH scheme. Our experimental results proved that 3E-Watermark-LEACH achieves a progress in terms of network lifetime, reduce the number of cluster head, number of round and energy consumption compared to recent watermarking LEACH versions.
