Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by investigators at Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan explored the genetic associations of visfatin polymorphisms with clinicopathologic characteristics of prostate cancer in Taiwanese males. The research found that carriers of certain visfatin gene polymorphisms were at a higher risk of biochemical recurrence in prostate cancer patients. This study is the first to establish a connection between visfatin polymorphisms and prostate cancer characteristics in Taiwanese males. [Extracted from the article]
