Abstrakt: The article features the painting, "Penitent Mary Magdalene in a landscape," by Italian artist Annibale Carracci, which is part of the National Trust collection at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire, England. Topics discussed include the history of the acquisition of the painting for 1st Baron Scarsdale, the same pose and appearance of Magdalene in three paintings attributed to Annibale, and a comparison of the Kedleston painting and the paintings at the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj and Fitzwilliam Museum.
