Abstrakt: A study conducted at Cardenal Herrera-CEU University in Valencia, Spain, examined the impact of playing wind musical instruments on the orofacial system. The research compared the muscular and occlusal levels of wind players to those of the general population, finding differences in overjet, overcrowding of teeth, lower lip erosion, and dental abrasion, which were higher in musicians. The study concluded that wind instrument practice may be a risk factor for developing orofacial issues, with no significant differences found among various mouthpieces used by musicians.
