A recent study conducted at the College of Medicine focused on the impact of cyclophosphamide therapy on the testis and sexual glands of adult albino rats. The research found that cyclophosphamide treatment led to atrophic and degenerative changes in the male reproductive organs, including a reduction in testosterone levels. Importantly, the study highlighted the potential risk of infertility and gonadal toxicity associated with cyclophosphamide therapy, which may persist even after the treatment is discontinued.
