Abstrakt: | The article compares the highs and flows in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with chronic hypercapnic respiratory failure. Topics include patients who are at risk for respiratory failure or are in a state of incipient respiratory failure that can be difficult to manage, different treatment strategies producing comparable results, and modalities that provide advantages over standard care. |
