Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill examined the role of splenorrhaphy in the management of adult splenic trauma. The research found that patients who underwent successful splenorrhaphy had lower mortality rates compared to those who had total splenectomy or failed splenorrhaphy. The study suggests that adults with splenic injuries requiring operative intervention may have better outcomes with successful splenorrhaphy. This research was supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
