A study conducted by the University of Florida focused on Central Nervous System (CNS) Sarcoidosis, a condition that can have detrimental effects on patients. The research, supported by the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, analyzed data from a national registry questionnaire involving 3,835 respondents. The study found that CNS sarcoidosis affected 11.55% of patients, with a higher prevalence in females and White people. The most common diagnostic tool used was brain magnetic resonance imaging, and corticosteroids were the primary treatment.
