Abstrakt: Researchers at IBN Zohr University conducted a study on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) to address the challenge of evolving resistance to current therapeutics. They evaluated the potential of napthyridine and oxadiazole derivatives as dual inhibitors of key proteins involved in methicillin resistance using molecular modeling techniques. The study identified five hit compounds with high affinity for the target proteins, showcasing their potential as orally administered therapeutic agents. Further experimental validation is needed for compounds CID '135964525' and '44130718' to develop potential inhibitors of methicillin resistance in MRSA. [Extracted from the article]
