Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Manchester examined the effectiveness and acceptability of physical activity interventions among older adults from socioeconomically deprived groups. The study found that older adults from lower socioeconomic backgrounds are less active compared to those from higher socioeconomic backgrounds. The review identified several factors associated with the effectiveness and acceptability of interventions, including the use of behavior change frameworks, goal-setting, and self-monitoring techniques. The findings of this study can inform the development of targeted interventions for older adults from lower socioeconomic groups. The research was funded by various organizations, including the Dunhill Medical Trust and the National Institute for Health and Care Research. [Extracted from the article]
