Researchers from QILU University of Technology in Jinan, China have developed a new method for detecting chronic atrophic gastritis using high-resolution endoscopy. Chronic atrophic gastritis is a precancerous lesion that can progress to gastric cancer. The researchers designed a two-stage network that emulates the diagnostic workflow of clinical experts, achieving a diagnostic accuracy of 94.08%. This method provides clinicians with a more objective and reliable tool for assessing lesions, outperforming many state-of-the-art methods. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in the International Journal on Semantic Web and Information Systems. [Extracted from the article] |
