A study conducted by investigators from National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan examined the English language needs and challenges faced by Food and Beverage (F&B) employees at a 5-star resort in Vietnam. The research found that effective communication in English is crucial for F&B employees in the tourism and hospitality industries, particularly in luxury resorts. The study revealed that listening and writing were the most difficult skills for these employees, and they expressed a need for an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course that prioritizes speaking and listening skills. The findings of the study were used to develop practical course syllabi and pedagogical implications for related ESP courses. [Extracted from the article] |
