Abstrakt: A researcher at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan has released a new study on biosensors. The study focuses on the development of a waveguide-enhanced nanoplasmonic biosensor for ultrasensitive and rapid DNA detection. The biosensor utilizes plasmonic gold nanoparticles and a glass planar waveguide to achieve specific detection of complementary target DNA sequences. The biosensor demonstrated exceptional performance in DNA detection, with a limit of detection of 33.1 fg/mL and a rapid response time of approximately 8 minutes. The researchers believe that this biosensor has potential applications in clinical settings and early disease diagnosis. [Extracted from the article]
